I'm so glad to meet all of you and to be a part of this community:
Here's my information:
Date: Not long ago
Single, Married, etc?: Engaged
Testimony: I first became Christian (Roman Catholic) at age twelve, and was baptized at age thirteen. Unfortunately, I fell prey to the occult (Wicca) around age 19/20. I returned to the Church at age 24, but sadly, I returned to Wicca again a year or so later. Those forces are so very strong, and I wish that it was taken more seriously in our society and shown up for what it was: The forces of evil. I was a practicing Wiccan for years, and had gotten quite deep into the occult. My life was a total mess as a result. This past February, I found myself praying the prayers of my youth when my mental health issue hit a rough patch. "Just for comfort", I told myself. Then one night...everything changed. I gave myself over to Jesus and decided that I was going to return to the Church. My fiance decided to attend with me and he is converting to the faith. My life has changed in unimaginable ways since I gave myself to Jesus and was saved, as has my fiance's. We are getting married next May in the Catholic Church where I grew up.
God Bless you all. I am so grateful to have found more believers on Live Journal.
Your sister in Christ,

11 Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Joy is the second revelation of the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22). This joy that is born in us by the Holy Ghost rises above circumstances, and focuses on the very character of God. There is so much to be joyful for in the Lord. We can rejoice over God's righteousness (Psalms 71:14-16), salvation (Psalms 21:1; 71:23), mercy (Psalms 31:7), creation (Psalms 148:5), Word (Psalms119:14, 162), and faithfulness (Psalms 33:1-6). This joy is a joy that surpasses earthly understanding...

|broken_skai||02:14 am - The Fruit of the Spirit - Love|
The fruit of the Spirit is mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23. One spiritual fruit with nine different revelations or parts. When one accepts Jesus Christ, He enters the heart and bears this fruit (that the Father delights in) by the power of the Holy Spirit. I think of it like this... Imagine if you will, a garden. And all fruitful trees are planted by Him. He constantly roams this garden seeking His fruit at an appointed time. When He comes upon a tree that bears no fruit, He draws a sword commanding it to be hewn down and cast into the fire.... But then Jesus steps in and says "Not yet... let me water it with the Word, nourish it with the Holy Spirit, tending it with love and grace. And if it does not bear fruit within my appointed time...then cut it down and cast it into the fire." And the Father nods in agreement appointing a time of grace by the Son through the Spirit.

> Testimony: I grew up in a Christian family, but didn't take what God wanted for my life seriously, especially when I was 16 - 19. I called myself a Christian, but I wasn't utterly devoted to God, which, through his grace, I am now. It is amazing that God should love us so much he'd send his son, Jesus, to live a perfect life and then die, carrying the weight of OUR sin! There is nothing we can do to deserve the righteousness he has made possible for us, and no way we can be thankful enough. In letting Jesus into our hearts, and choosing to live for God rather than ourselves, well, we are only doing our duty! (Lk 17:10). And yet, even as we are servants only doing our duty, Jesus calls us his brothers and sisters, and God calls us his children! We have to praise God for his might and power, and his great love for us! We have to tell the world about him, about Jesus, about the change the Spirit brings about in our hearts, our actions and our words!

I read something today. It may have been a bumper sticker or not, but anyway:
God thinks you are to die for!

This did inspire me. Too often I forget who is indeed in control and get so caught up in worry and what I'M going to do to fix it; after all I did get myself in the situation.
Right now, I'm having a really tough time with money, school, ex, life, and husband. I got myself into all the situations I'm in, but Father I love you and thank you!
